Spiral Pipe Manufacturing

SSAW is Spirally Submerged Arc Welding abbreviation , meaning spiral  submerged arc welded pipe , SSAW pipe that spiral welded steel pipe, also known  as spiral steel pipe, spiral welded or spiral .

It uses double-sided spiral submerged arc welding technology , the  narrowband ( board ) volume continuous welded steel pipe. It has been applied  widely in our natural gas and other oil and gas pipeline project, the main tube  of oil and gas pipeline projects adopted .

Spiral Pipe is widely used in natural gas, petroleum , chemical, electric  power, heat , water, steam heating, hydropower penstock , power generation,  water and other long-distance transmission pipeline engineering and piling ,  dredging , bridges, steel and so on.

Longitudinal production process is simple, high efficiency, low cost, rapid  development . Spiral Pipe Longitudinal strength is generally higher than  the spiral welded pipe specifications can narrow the billet production of large  diameter pipe , spiral welded pipe specifications can also use the same width of  the billet production of different pipe diameters . However, compared with the  same length of straight seam pipe , spiral welded pipe weld length of 30 to 100  %, and lower spiral welded pipe production speed. Therefore , smaller diameter  pipe is mostly a straight seam welded , large diameter spiral welded pipe is  mostly used specifications .
