Application of Corrugated Steel Pipe Expansion Joint in Engineering

As a compensating component with good compensation performance and easy maintenance, the Corrugated Steel Pipe expansion joint has been widely used in domestic and international heating pipe networks. Since the large-scale use of central heating in the mid-1980s, the bellows expansion joint has replaced the traditional “п” shape compensation and sleeve compensation more and more, contributing to the modernization of the city. With the increase of the service life, the failure of the Corrugated Steel Culvert Pipe expansion joint occasionally occurs. Although the ratio is very low, it has attracted more and more attention from the relevant parties due to the direct relationship with the people's life. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the amount of bellows expansion joints, the number of failure expansion joints, and the causes of expansion joint failures in the past ten years, so as to have a comprehensive understanding of the safety reliability of such compensation devices. Aiming at the problems that occur during the use of the bellows expansion joint, a reasonable solution is determined to improve the safety and reliability of the bellows expansion joint.
