Two corrugated steel pipe arches were installed for the Coal Transportation System Crushing Repair project in a city in China. These structures have a span of 9.0 meters, a rise height of 6.06 meters, a longitudinal length of 60 meters, and a filling height of 8 meters. The road surface is designed to withstand a truck load of 600 tons and is reinforced with an inverted corrugated steel plate structure.
Despite encountering challenges such as an overall maximum settlement value reaching 114 centimeters and longitudinal uneven settlement of up to 45 centimeters, the project has demonstrated stability. Through careful monitoring during the construction process and the one-year operation phase post-construction, the overall settlement of the structure has remained stable. Furthermore, the relative deformation value of the structure is significantly lower than the specifications, indicating that the structure is operating safely.
